This is the most socio-economically diverse section of Carlsbad with many historic buildings.
Olde Carlsbad is located south of the Buena Vista Lagoon and north of the Aqua Hediona Lagoon,
from the beach east to El Camin Real. These were the original boundaries of the city of Carlsbad.
Some of the streets in Olde Carlsbad stll lack sidewalks and street lights.
Homes range from 1,000
square feet bungalows to 5,000 square feet estates, priced from a few hundred thousands to over $5 million. Most of these
homes have very large lots and were originally built in the 1960’s. Many homes in Olde Carlsbad
have been greatly remodeled since then. This is Carlsbad with old-world charm. There is almost no
HOA fees or mello roos. |
